Refah-e-am High school

Gowlipura was nothing but barren lands in the times of nizam. The villagers used to send children to cattle in these open grounds. It was nizam who saw these young children wasting their time doing nothing and he decided to inculcate the habit of reading, to begin with. he sanctioned two Empress Halls so that the children can sit inside and do some constructive work.
These halls later on transformed into a small school. These two shades were the structure where Mr Mitta Srinivas Rao began his early education. As soon as Mitta Foundation was initiated, this school was the first one to get the aid to uplift the standards of educational infrastructure.
Following infrastructure and sports facilities were provided:

Saraswatha Academy High School

In the year 1949 a temperance hall was constructed and donated by Raj Dharam Karan Bahadur for propagating and changing the temperance habits of local people like drinking with superstitious beliefs and fostering adult education during night for children and working adults. Later in 1960 the same was registered with Registrar of Societies vide registration no.20/1960 by then Late Pandit Gunde Rao Harkare, Gyan Peet Awardee, as Saraswatha Acedemy providing lectures and seminars on cultural and social topics. With the help of few philanthropists and support of Mitta Foundation a full-fledged high school with 18 class rooms with infrastructure was established. Thus, Saraswatha Academy High School was established in the year 2001 with 400 students from lower- and middle-class family.

Refah-e-am High School, Haribowli

The school’s name is derived from a Persian word, which means Welfare for All. It is established in 1895 as a primary school in remote area of old city, Hyderabad with a view to serve the students of weaker sections of the society. The school was recognized by the Government as a middle school with grant-in-Aid in 1912 and it grew as a High School in 1951 and was given permanent recognition in 1984. It is serving the society by imparting good education to the children for the last 123 years. Until 2004 the school was running with 1000 students. In 2004 the Government imposed ban on recruitment and some teachers retired but there is no recruitment for replacement by the Government. As the school is under grant-in-aid system which means education is imparted free and as a result the management was facing financial problems.
Until the year 2003 the school was running under tin sheds. Subsequently with the help of Philanthropists and Mitta Foundation through Mitta Srinivas Rao who was also an old student of the school constructed the permanent class rooms and infrastructure. In the year 2010 a basketball court was established utilising the large playground through grant of funds from Mitta Foundation. Later on, noticing the dilatated condition of the toilet block, absenteeism of students due to bad condition of toilets, Mitta Foundation has granted 21 lakhs in the year 2021 to build modern toilet block with separate toilets for boys and girls.
